Former Rep. Michael Grimm begins 8-month prison term on Tuesday

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Disgraced former New York Congressman Michael Grimm will spend his first night in federal prison Tuesday.



Grimm just reported to McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Lewis Run, Pa., to begin his eight-month sentence.



He is beginning an 8-month sentence at the medium security federal prison.



The Republican from Staten Island resigned last year after pleading guilty to filing a false tax return.



He could have faced up to three years in prison.
