BRIGHTON BEACH (WABC) -- A man was arrested after police say he attempted three robberies, one successfully, along a commercial strip in Brooklyn Wednesday.

Authorities say the suspect first hit the Apple Bank at 405 Brighton Beach Avenue in Brighton Beach around 11 a.m. He passed a handwritten note to the teller and got $300.

During two subsequent attempted robberies at the CitiBank at 706 Brighton Beach Avenue at 12:09 p.m. and another CitiBank at 722 Brighton Beach Avenue at 12:13 p.m., he passed notes demanding money and stated he had a gun, but in both cases the teller refused to hand over any cash.

Police were called to the scene, and 45-year-old Tiffany Felder was arrested further down the street at 1 p.m., when he was spotted walking out of a store at 1045 Brighton Beach Avenue.

He was charged with one count of robbery and two counts of attempted robbery.

Felder reportedly has prior arrests for a stolen car and marijuana possession.
