NEW YORK (WABC) -- Two men were rescued by NYPD after being trapped on the Breezy Point jetty by the rising tide on Tuesday evening.
It happened just after 6 p.m.
NYPD Harbor and FDNY Marine were unable to make rescue by water due to high tide.
So, the NYPD aviation unit rescued the two men around 7:30 p.m.
After spending over an hour on the Breezy Point jetty they were rescued and evaluated by EMS.
The men were not injured and did not need to be taken to the hospital.
