CHICAGO -- Researchers say they may have figured out why people who smoke marijuana get the "munchies," according to a new study published in the journal Nature.

They experimented with mice and said marijuana tricked certain cells in the brain by stimulating hunger, even when they were full.

Researchers said "feel good" chemicals, known as endorphins, are also highly charged when smoking pot and they stimulate appetite.
