Jonathan Martinez, 18, of the Bronx, shot to death outside Valentine Avenue deli

BRONX, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old man was shot to death Friday night in front of a Bronx deli.

Around 8:30 p.m., police were called to the 2600 block of Valentine Avenue where they found the victim shot once in the chest. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the victim as Jonathan Martinez, 18, of the Bronx.

Three men are in custody, but no one has been charged.

One of two weapons possibly used in the shooting were recovered at the scene.

The motive for the shooting is unclear.
