CENTRAL ISLIP (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are looking for the gunman or gunmen behind a shooting in Suffolk County.
The two victims were found at a home on Rosewood Street in Central Islip just before 10 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say the incident began when uninvited guests arrived at a party at the home. When they were asked to leave, a fight ensued in the street in front of the home.
During the fight, at least one shot was fired. One man was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound. A second male was injured by unknown means during the fight and was also taken to Southside Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members.
The investigation is ongoing.
