NYPD searching for young mother and 1-month-old boy in Midtown

MIDTOWN (WABC) -- Police in Manhattan are searching for a young mother and her infant son.

20-year-old Angelica Smith allegedly left the Covenant House: Mother and Child Program on West 52nd Street in Midtown Wednesday with her 1-month-old son, Anthony.

Police believe they left around 12:30 p.m.

Baby Anthony is approximately 10 lbs, 2' tall, with a light complexion, and blue eyes.

Angelica Smith is described as 5', 320 lbs, with long straight red hair.
