Police: 50 pounds of pot seized in Bronx grow house

MORRIS PARK, Bronx (WABC) -- Police say officers busted an illegal marijuana grow house in the Bronx Wednesday.

Authorities say 50 pounds of marijuana was seized from four grow rooms on the second floor of a home on Fowler Avenue in Morris Park.

The homeowner, identified as 48-year-old Ernest Guttilla, was placed under arrest and charged with five counts of criminal possession of marijuana, one count of unlawful possession of marijuana, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The suspect also is being investigated for stealing $90,000 worth of power from Con Edison by bypassing the home's electrical meter.
