Police: Toddler drowns in Millville, New Jersey daycare's fish pond

MILLVILLE, N.J. -- A toddler drowned in a fish pond at a daycare in Millville, New Jersey on Tuesday morning, police say.

According to investigators, the 15-month-old boy was found in the one-foot-deep goldfish pond at the Sunshine Daycare on Shar Lane Boulevard.

Millville police say the owner was caring for six children at the facility and was inside tending to one of the children.

Then, at some point, police say she discovered one of the children was missing.

She then found the boy in the fish pond.

Police say the boy's death appears to be accidental, but they're continuing their investigation.

New Jersey's Child Protection and Permanency is investigating as well.
