NYACK (WABC) -- One person was hurt when a tractor-trailer went down an embankment on the New York State Thruway in Nyack early Friday.
It happened around 3 a.m. just before the West Nyack exit.
Police say the truck crashed through a center divider, crossed the northbound lanes and went over a steep cliff.
Police shut down two lanes for hours while they tried to get the driver out and clear the scene.
Luckily, the driver was not seriously hurt.
All lanes were reopened. Officials say they'll be closed again in a few hours when cranes arrive to remove the wreck.
