Queens man arrested after alleged violent outburst on flight from JFK

QUEENS (WABC) -- A man from Queens is in federal custody and is accused of a violent outburst on a plane.

Police say Alija Kucuk of Middle Village was on a flight from JFK to Palm Beach on Thursday night, when he ran up the aisle and shoved two flight attendants. He then allegedly punched another flight attendant who tried to calm him down.

Eyewitnesses say Kucuk was yelling racial slurs and threatening to destroy the plane. He was arrested when the plane landed.
