Sentencing day for ex-Paterson auxiliary officers in deadly motorcycle crash

PATERSON (WABC) -- Two former Paterson auxiliary police officers await their fate stemming from a deadly motorcycle crash three years ago.

Thirty-one-year-old Randolph Waddy died in the crash in April 2012.

Prosecutors say the former officers -- Juan Martinez and Jonathan Lopez -- witnessed the accident and kept driving.

The two men initially were indicted in 2013.

Martinez faces up to five years in prison, while Lopez will likely get probation in exchange for cooperating in the probe against his former colleague.
