PATERSON (WABC) -- An investigation is underway after a deadly fire in New Jersey.
One person was killed when flames broke out at about 8:30 Sunday night on the upper floors of a home on Gould Avenue in Paterson.
The fire burned through the home's roof, but firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.
One resident, an adult, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
