Long Island housekeeper accused of stealing more than $75,000 in cash, jewelry

FREEPORT (WABC) -- Police on Long Island have arrested a housekeeper on grand larceny charges after she allegedly stole more than $75,000 from two homes where she was employed.

According to detectives, 47-year-old Patricia Pavon removed over $11,000 cash and approximately $5,000 in jewelry from a home in Freeport where she worked.

The victims notified their family members, who had also hired Pavon, and they discovered approximately $60,000 in jewelry had been removed from their Uniondale home.

After an investigation, Pavon was placed under arrest on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 by First Squad detectives.

Pavon is charged with second- and third-degree grand larceny.
