Bicylist fatally struck in Brooklyn hit and run

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A 22-year-old man on a bicycle was killed in a hit and run on his way to work in Brooklyn on Saturday morning.

The bicyclist, identified as 22-year-old Jeremy Morales was hit by a silver Infiniti that was flying down Nostrand Avenue. Witnesses say the driver then kept on going, speeding through several lights.

Morales was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he later died. Police say he was pedaling west on Church Avenue around 8:30 a.m. when the accident happened.

Witnesses say the impact was vicious, and they saw Morales go into the air.

Investigators say they are looking for an Infinity with a damaged front windshield, hood and roof.

Morales' heartbroken family asked for privacy Saturday night as they are still trying to process their loss.
