NEW YORK (WABC) -- We are coming up on Marathon Week in New York! It's time to celebrate the people and the places that tens of thousands of runners will visit as they make their way to the finish line in the TCS New York City Marathon. Join us on a mile by mile tour of the course.
The 2024 TCS New York City Marathon will take place Sunday, November 3, drawing more than 50,000 runners and will be televised in the New York area live on WABC-TV Channel 7, nationally on ESPN2, and around the world by various international broadcasters.
The course runs 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of the city. The race begins on Staten Island. Runners cross the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge into Brooklyn and Queens before crossing into Manhattan.
Runners head next to the Bronx, and then back into Manhattan to the finish line in Central Park.
