Six hurt in early morning Brownsville fire

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- More than a dozen were injured after fire seared through the first floor of a Brownsville, Brooklyn home.

Flames broke out at 42 Lott Avenue off Herzl Street just before 5 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Wind carried smoke through the neighborhood as the blaze raged.

Fifteen people ended up being treated. Thirteen had minor injuries, with two people suffering serious injuries.

Fire marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire.
