NEW YORK (WABC) -- A special tradition at Eyewitness News continued for the 23rd year as we shared your holiday messages on Christmas morning.

We heard your hopes for the new year, what you are thankful for, what you will miss and even what you won't miss.

Pedro Rivera, Tanya Rivero and Lee Goldberg were there Christmas morning to share the news, weather and your holiday messages.

We heard from viewers sharing messages of love, spreading gratitude and missing those who are no longer here.

There were messages looking to the past and we heard from viewers looking ahead to the future.

The special tradition started in the months after 9/11 and has continued ever since.

Watch a selection of the holiday greetings below:

Hear from Bill Ritter, a message to a late mother missed and more.
