
JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (WABC) -- Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was stabbed on board a subway train in Queens on Monday.
NYPD officials say officers responded to the Jackson Heights - Roosevelt Avenue station on Roosevelt Avenue and 74th Street in Jackson Heights around 2:20 p.m. for reports of a person stabbed.
When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old woman with a stab wound to her hand and neck.
Police say it appeared the victim was riding aboard a northbound E train when she was stabbed by the unidentified suspect.
The suspect fled from the location, and the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she's expected to recover.
There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
