MIDWOOD (WABC) -- A disgraced former PTA member in Brooklyn who stole $82,000 in school funds has been elected to another PTA board.

In 2011, Providence Hogan pled guilty to embezzling funds from P.S. 29 in Cobble Hill while she was treasurer from 2006-2008.

Wednesday night, she was elected vice president of the PTA at Edward R. Murrow High School in Midwood.

Those who voted were apparently unaware of Hogan's crime.

She was accused of stealing the money to pay for her family's lavish lifestyle and for fertility treatments.
