A 3-year-old girl who fell onto the tracks of a Lower Manhattan subway station was quickly pulled to safety by a police officer.
The toddler was boarding the uptown train at the Bowling Green station at Broadway and Battery Place when she fell onto the tracks at around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
She apparently slipped between the platform and the subway car.
Her mother started screaming, and a nearby New York City Police officer rushed over and pulled the girl up.
He put his arm into the gap between the train and the platform, and the girl grabbed it.
The girl was taken to the hospital, but uninjured.
