Man fatally shot in Queens; fleeing gunman may have been hit by car

RICHMOND HILL -- A man was shot and killed in Queens Tuesday, and the gunman may have been hit by a car.
It happened at 3 p.m. at Atlantic Avenue and Van Wyck Boulevard in the Richmond Hill section.
It appears that as the suspect was fleeing the scene, he was struck by a vehicle.
The shooting victim died at Jamaica Hospital, where the suspect was also taken and is in critical condition.
The service lane of the Van Wyck Expressway is closed for the investigation.
