Cherry Hill Mall has change of heart, drops charge for kids to see Santa

CHERRY HILL (WABC) -- A mall in New Jersey is bowing to public pressure and is dropping its plan to charge for kids to see Santa.

The Cherry Hill Mall in South Jersey initially said it would charge $35-$50 to visit its "Adventure to Santa" display. The plan quickly drew backlash from parents who said it went against the spirit of the holiday.

The mall's management company said it heard the feedback, and decided to scrap the plan.
