Attempt to break record for world's largest snowball fight at Six Flags Great Adventure

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WABC) -- An attempt to break the record for the world's largest snowball fight took place Sunday at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.

Hundreds of people launched snowballs at each other for one minute at the park in Jackson Township.

Nine Six Flags theme parks across the US participated.

Ironically, the first attempt to break the record last weekend was postponed by...a snowstorm.

Total event participation has not yet been finalized.

The current world record of 7,681 participants was set in Canada last year. Six Flags aimed to break the record with 9,000 participants.
