New York Mets introduce an adventurous 'cookie egg roll'

As spring arrives, ballparks across the nation will continue to fill up for MLB spring training. But with a new season also comes a more adventurous food menu for home stadiums.

The New York Mets are introducing the cookie egg roll, which will be sold at games at Citi Field. The cookie egg roll consists of a rainbow cookie, raspberry jam and chocolate syrup rolled and fried in an egg roll wrapper.

Citi Field will continue to sell traditional fare like hot dogs and popcorn, but the cookie egg roll seems to give a signature sampling of what the ballpark can offer.

The Mets also claim to have performed a taste test on the cookie egg roll and say it's a hit.

New York opens its 2024 season at home with a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers starting March 28.
