Winning $136 million Powerball ticket sold on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND (WABC) -- The New York Lottery on Monday confirmed that a $136 million jackpot-winning Powerball ticket for the March 14 drawing was purchased on Staten Island.

The lucky ticket was bought at the 7-Eleven on Page Avenue.

The winning numbers were 08-14-39-46-47 and Powerball 18.

"We are thrilled to have another jackpot win in New York, the third multi-million jackpot win in recent months," acting lottery director Gardner Gurney said. "New York is truly a lucky place to play both Powerball and Mega Millions.We urge the ticketholder to sign the back of your ticket and keep it in a safe place, and when you're ready to claim, we look forward to meeting you."

On January 12, 2015, Harold Diamond of Wurtsboro, Sullivan County, was announced as the sole winner of a $326 million Mega Millions jackpot drawn on November 4, 2014.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2015, a second Sullivan County resident will be announced as the sole winner of a $126 million Mega Millions jackpot from the February 27, 2015, drawing.

The winner has one year from the date of the drawing to claim the $136 million Powerball prize. The winner may claim the ticket at any one of the Lottery's Customer Service Centers statewide, including the Manhattan office at 15 Beaver Street, New York, NY 10004, and the Long Island office at 45 South Service Road, Plainview, NY 11803.

The jackpot is either an annuitized prize paid out over 29 years (30 payments) or a lump sum payment of $88.53 million.

All annuitized prizes are paid annually.

Each ticket costs $2.

The 7-Eleven store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its role in selling the jackpot-winning Powerball ticket.
