Police arrest 19-year-old for allegedly fatally stabbing mother in Brentwood
Police say they got into a dispute while sitting in a car together.

BRENTWOOD, Suffolk County (WABC) -- Police arrested a man who they say stabbed his mother to death on Long Island.

Authorities say 19-year-old Ackel Arriaza killed his mother, 46-year-old Dora Villatoro-Arriaza, around 6 a.m. Sunday in front of their home on Adams Avenue in Brentwood.

They say the two got into an argument while sitting in their car.

Investigators say Villatoro-Arriaza's husband and three other children were inside the home at the time of the stabbing. They were not injured.

Ackel Arriaza is charged with second-degree murder.
