Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff talk about their 'Bachelor' engagement

NEW YORK -- "The Bachelor" Chris Soules and his new fiance Whitney Bischoff are talking about their engagement and what's next for them!

The couple appeared on "Live with Kelly and Michael" in New York Tuesday morning, just hours after appearing on the live "After the Final Rose" special in California. They're on a whirlwind tour to talk about officially being together, Chris competing on "Dancing with the Stars", and Whitney's planned move to Arlington, Iowa.

Even though Whitney's sister Kimberly didn't give her official "blessing" for them to get engaged, Chris said that they have spoken on the phone since and he seems hopeful that they will develop a great relationship. "She's excited for us," Chris said. As for wedding plans, they both said that August is a beautiful time on the farm and they were thinking of using the barn that we saw Chris use to pop the question to Whitney. "We've got some work to do in that regard," Chris said. "Yes, yes we do," Whitney agreed.

Chris said his own family absolutely loved Whitney and is so excited that she will be joining their family. Even Lily, Whitney's little dog, will have a "good time" on the big farm according to Chris.

Whitney says that she'll be in the audience every night that Chris is on "Dancing with the Stars" and they leave tomorrow for their extended stay in California. Chris even got some bedazzled overalls and a fancy cowboy hat to wear from the crew at "Live"! He seems worried that he'll have to actually wear it! Once "DWTS" is over, Chris says he plans to get back to work. It's been a long year away from the farm! Whitney says that once they are in Arlington, she plans to continue her nursing career, and won't be giving it up anytime too soon.

Chris picked out a gorgeous diamond ring that Whitney said she is so excited to have it because she just got it back. She wasn't able to wear it during the whole "waiting period". Chris said he did the best he could to find something that would fit her style and that "it was just something I'd like to see on her hand".

The next season of "The Bachelorette" is just two months away, and Chris and Whitney are both #TeamKaitlyn. It seems that they both would rather she get a chance at love than Britt. But will the 25 guys selected feel the same way? We'll have to wait and see!
