SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police say celebrity chef Todd English has been arrested on Long Island and charged with driving while intoxicated.
English, 54, was arrested at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on a county road in Southampton, according to police.
Authorities say he posted $1,500 bail at Southampton Town Justice Court.
The chef's full name is William Todd English. He has opened a number of restaurants around the country, including Olives, Figs, and Fish Club. He's also been a regular on television programs including "Iron Chef USA."
He has written several cookbooks and has been honored by the James Beard Foundation for excellence and achievement in cuisine.
