NEW YORK (WABC) -- The long delayed Second Avenue Subway, may be long delayed again.

December's planned opening may not happen according to an MTA consultant.

Despite a $66-million financial boost in February, late design changes to the 72nd Street Station is setting the project behind again.

Construction on the line began in 2007, but initial planning for it dates back to the early 1900's.
