BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police have arrested the main suspect wanted in an East Williamsburg triple shooting that left one person dead.

Bryan Aponte, 20, of Brooklyn, was charged Tuesday with murder in the second-degree and weapons charges.

Police had been searching for Aponte, who was one of three men allegedly stealing from cars just before a deadly confrontation Oct. 6. After the suspects were caught in the act, authorities said several men chased them down not knowing the suspects were armed.

Michael Matusiak, a 53-year-old father of two, was killed, while two other victims, including an innocent 13-year-old girl, were wounded.

Ryan Cruzado, 18, of Brooklyn, was charged Wednesday with hindering prosecution in connection with the case.
