Good Samaritans rescue man who fell onto subway tracks
A.J. Ross has the latest from the Upper East Side.

UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Good Samaritans jumped into action to save a man who fell onto the subway tracks in Manhattan Friday afternoon.

The incident happened on the platform at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue around 3 p.m.

The MTA confirms that straphangers went down onto tracks to help the victim and pull him back up to the platform.

There were no trains in the vicinity when the man fell, and there was no impact on train service.

EMS transported the victim to New York Hospital in serious but stable condition.
