NEW YORK (WABC) -- A line of storms swept through the Tri-State area Saturday morning, leading to numerous motor vehicle accidents.
New York State Police responded to a number of accidents along the Taconic State Parkway in the Yorktown Heights/Ossining area.
Several others were reported on Route 134 in Westchester County, and another crash occurred on Bear Mountain State Parkway in Rockland County.
In Connecticut, police were dealing with a multi-car accident on I-95 in Greenwich.
Police believe the heavy downpours were contributing factors.
Meteorologist Jeff Smith says there could be more thunderstorms late Saturday afternoon, especially north and west of New York City.
