New breeds recognized at Westminster Dog Show

NEW YORK (WABC) -- It's the premiere canine competition. The world famous Westminster Dog show gets underway next month and it will feature 2 new breeds.

For the first time, the American Kennel Club is recognizing Coton de Tulears in the non-sporting group.

The Wirehaired Vizslas will also be introduced in the sporting group. In all, there are 192 breeds and varieties eligible for this year's show.

The competition takes place February 16th-17th in New York City.
