San Jose woman ordered chicken wings, got thousands of dollars instead
Have you ever opened a pizza box expecting your order, gotten something else? A San Jose woman was treated to thousands of dollars in this bizarre mix-up.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- A woman ordered chicken wings from a California Domino's restaurant and got a lunch order she'll never forget.

Last Tuesday afternoon, Spacetel Wireless manager Selena Avalos ordered from her local Domino's. She opened the box thinking that her order was mistakenly swapped for bread sticks, but instead she saw thousands of dollars in cash.

She immediately called the downtown Domino's store where she had placed her order in hopes of getting in touch with a manager. Nobody had called her back.

Avalos was confused.

"Wouldn't they be thinking, 'Where did that money go?'" she asked.

Without a clear response, Avalos turned to sister station ABC7 in San Francisco for help. After getting in touch with corporate, they were able to connect Avalos with the franchise owner.

Not wanting to keep the money, she aimed to return the funds much sooner. For her honesty, her employer is giving her a week off with pay.

She will also receive free pizza for an entire year. The mix-up shows that honesty can get you some dough -- pizza dough that is.
