Spring Valley cop to be indicted again

A law enforcement source tells Eyewitness News that the dismissed charges against Spring Valley Officer David Lebron have been re-presented to a grand jury by new Rockland County District Attorney Tom Zuqibe. The source says Lebron will be indicted again, and possibly face additional charges.

Lebron was charged last November with sexual abuse, falsifying business records and official misconduct. He was accused of driving home a woman, groping her and then falsifying records to cover his tracks. He pleaded not guilty, and those charges were recently thrown out.

Lebron claims his arrest was in retaliation for a lawsuit he filed against the city after he was passed over for promotions.

He spoke exclusively with Eyewitness News reporter Marcus Solis earlier this week. Click the video at the top for more on his side of the story.
