Finding a pair of pants that fits

NEW YORK Eyewitness news reporter Lauren Glassberg takes us inside.

'Never find a pair of pant that fit'... sound familiar?

Is it challenging to find pants that fit perfectly?

Well, two Parsons graduates experienced that problem and decided to do something about it. Their business called Hem, and it's all about creating pants that fit.

"We work pretty hard on our patterns and on the cuts," Yrmis Barroeta said. "That's where everything begins."

Barroeta and Christina Bohigian say there are three body types -- slim, hourglass and apple. And they design their pants to fit all those types.

"No matter what, it will fit," said Bohigian. "It will accommodate your shape."

And if they don't fit right, they will custom make the pants for you at a slightly increased price.

But there's something else about Hem's pants. They're almost always in limited run, just 15 pair per design and the designs are always changing.

There's a focus on hardware - buttons, hooks, buckles and zippers.

While there are plain options, Hem helps you push your limit and slide into something that will make a statement.
