Newscopter-7 was over a car fire on the New Jersey Turnpike this morning. The van was burning in East Brunswick, about 3 miles south of Interchange 9. The fire was first reported just before 6:00 a.m.

The state police arrived on the scene and shut the right truck lane, on the northbound side of the turnpike, so the cars could safely make it by.

No injuries were reported.
