Intense fire rips through LI home

An intense fire destroyed a house on Long Island overnight. Firefighters from three surrounding departments showed up to battle the flames at 136th 5th Avenue in Bay Shore shortly after 11 p.m.

Flames were seen coming through the roof and out of all the second floor windows.

No one was hurt.

The cause is under investigation.

Suffolk County police and the town of Islip Fire Marshall's office are looking into the possibility of arson.
