Traffic back to normal on Outerbridge Crossing

All lanes have been reopened on the Outerbridge Crossing after an early morning nightmare that huge delays going into Staten Island. Newscopter-7 was live over the scene of an accident that shut down traffic into Staten Island for about three hours.

Just before 6:00 this morning a box truck just completely collapsed and a lot of the cargo spilled down on the roadway, causing another car to crash.

The driver of the other vehicle had to be extricated from their car.

As of 9:00 a.m. traffic is flowing back to normal and all lanes are now reopened.
