Group claims playground equipment too hot

The summer heat is generating concerns about playground equipment severely burning young children. The group New York Park Advocates is demanding the city test the materials it uses in parks.

The group claims the city has ignored public health and safety standards by continuing to use products that can heat up to more than 165 degrees in hot weather.

They say these temperatures cause burns that send more than a dozen kids to emergency rooms every year.
