Police seek suspect in attack on women

UNION TWP., N.J. - He is accused of attacking two women.

The incident happened on July 3rd around 11:00 p.m. on Liberty Avenue near the entrance to Rt. 78 East in Union Township.

Police say the man punched one woman in the face and stabbed the other woman twice as he tried to steal a purse.

He got away in a red or burgundy, 2-door small box style car, possibly a 2003-to-2005 Mercedes SLK.

Witnesses reported the car had primer paint on the driver's side door and appeared to be dusty, as though it had been in storage or recently in a body shop.

A reward up to five-thousand dollars is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
