Derailment causes NJ Transit delays

New Jersey Transit is experiencing delays of up to an hour on three major lines after a freight train derailment. The derailment in Waldwick is causing back-ups on the Main, Bergen County and Port Jervis lines.

Officials said two Norfolk Southern freight train cars jumped the track, blocking two of the three available tracks.

Trains leaving the city were combined, which may cause overcrowding.

New Jersey Transit buses were cross honoring rail tickets.
