It's closing time for a 66-year-old Irish bar on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The Emerald Inn on Columbus Avenue is slated to shut down after the landlord more than doubled the rent to $350,000 a year.

Bar owner Charlie Campbell says he can't afford it. His family has owned the bar since it was opened by his grandfather in 1943.

The 800-square-foot saloon is among the few taverns that have survived the gentrification of the neighborhood.
