Tentative contract deal for firefighters

NEW YORK Eyewitness News has learned the city reached the tentative deal with the Uniformed Firefighters Association, which still must be ratified by members.

The two-year deal grants a retroactive four percent raise and another four percent raise in 2009.

Additionally, there will be a three-and-a-half percent pay raise retroactive to 2006 for all members who have five or more years on the job.
