Suspect sought in attacks on women

NEW YORK Investigators said the suspect sexually assaulted a woman on October 1 near 50th Avenue and 96th Street in Elmhurst.

He struck three more times on October 20th.

At 6:40 p.m., he approached a 31-year-old woman in the lobby of her building in Greenpoint Brooklyn, demanded money and then pushed her to the ground. The suspect then took off.

About an hour-and-a-half later in Astoria, the suspect approached a woman, 25, and attempted to engage her in conversation. She immediately fled into her apartment.

Then just before midnight at 31st Avenue and 29th Street in Astoria, the suspect sexually assaulted another woman.

In the two sexual assaults, investigators said the suspect followed the victims into their building and then he choked the victims until they lost consciousness.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his mid to late twenties, 6'0", 170 lbs, and was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.
