Corzine says no word on Obama camp

NEW JERSEY "I've had no discussions whatsoever," Corzine said on CNBC this morning. "Nothing."

Instead, Corzine offered the name of former Clinton administration Treasury Secretary Larry Summers for the position.

"Larry Summers, who I know very well, is an extraordinary talent, and has a good grasp of the various issues that are around. So he would be a good choice," Corzine said.

Summers and Federal Reserve Bank of New York President Timothy Geithner are believed to be the frontrunners for the treasury secretary position.

As for Corzine, he said he is happy in New Jersey. "I like what I'm doing a lot," he said.

Corzine is a former co-chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs, a post he shared with current Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.
