Livery cab driver fatally shot at LIRR station

Long Island Railroad trains are currently bypassing the Mastic-Shirley train station after A livery cab driver was shot at the Mastic-Shirley train station just before 3 a.m.The driver, identified as 53-year-old John Atrino died at the hospital.

Police say the victim has been a cab driver for 20 years.

The entire parking lot at the train station was a crime scene all morning.

Police said a 911 caller notified them shots had been fired.

Police are searching for two men who ran away from the scene.

Passengers are being provided with bus service to Patchogue, where they can transfer to westbound train service.
