Sneaky bedroom visitor left ID behind

ISLAND PARK Nassau County detectives say the 14-year-old Island Park girl woke up around 6 a.m. Sunday and saw an unknown man standing near her bed. They say the girl screamed and the man ran away.

Police say the man left behind his personal identification. But they haven't said specifically what it was.

Within two hours, detectives tracked down a 25-year-old man who lives near the girl and arrested him.

The man has been charged with burglary.
