Giants, Jets preview

September 12, 2009 Dollar General is having its GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION today, September 12 in New Jersey. It begins at 8:00 a.m. You can meet Carl Banks at the following stores.

419 Market Street, Saddle Brook store from 8:30am to 10:30am
11 River Road, North Arlington store from 11:00am to 1:00pm
449 Lakeview Avenue, Clifton store from 1:30pm to 3:00pm

Dollar General is the largest discount retailer in the United States by number of stores with 8,577 neighborhood stores as of July 31, 2009, located in 35 states. In addition, Dollar General will be featuring the "Official Locker Room Products of the NFL" including: Febreze, Gillette, Head & Shoulders and Old Spice. This is just another way Dollar General and P&G are bringing fans of the NFL closer to the game.

Carl Banks is a multi faceted visionary who has parleyed his talents into a successful business conglomerate, basing his company's philosophy on family values with an honest forthright approach to every project he undertakes. His skills as an athlete led to his success on the field during a distinguished 12 year career as a former American Linebacker playing for three teams from 1984 to 1995 including the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins and the Cleveland Browns in the NFL. A graduate of Michigan State University, Carl's outstanding team member contributions there garnered him First Team ALL-Big Ten honors, three consecutive years, a university first in history honor and led to his selection as the #3 overall player for the draft for the New York Giants. Most noted are his stellar performances during the Giants winning Super Bowls XXI, where he was voted Defensive MVP for accomplishing a total of 14 tackles and 10 solo take-downs and Super Bowl XXV. Participating in critical plays which helped to secure the team victory once again! Additional honors include Defensive player of the year as named by the Washington Post in 1988 and selection as a team member for the ALL-NFL First Team as well as a First Team PRO-BOWL selection team member.
